Directions to On-campus Athletic Facilities

All athletic facilities are located in or around the Orvis Activities Center. Orvis is located on top of the hill once you are on campus. A large electronic message board sits in front of the building.

Local Directions to Alfred Campus

from Buffalo

Take Rt. 90 South/West (NYS Thruway) to Rt. 400 South, which becomes Rt. 16 South. Continue on Rt. 16 to Rt. 39 East to Rt. 98 South. Travel on Rt. 98 to Rt. 243, then to Rt. 19 south. At Belmont, turn left onto Rt. 244 East. Turn right onto Main Street. (Approximately 2 hours' driving time.)

from New York City

From Manhattan, take Lincoln Tunnel to Rt. 3 West (Clifton, NJ) to Rt. 46 West. Follow to Rt. 80 West (Del Water Gap) to Rt. 380 West (Scranton). Take Rt. 81 North to Binghamton to Rt. 86 (formerly Rt. 17) West. Follow Rt. 86 (formerly Rt. 17) West to Almond Exit (#33). Follow signs along Rts. 21 and 244 into Alfred. (Approximately five hours' driving time.) [Depending on specific location, alternative way to reach Rt. 86 (formerly Rt. 17) West is to take the Tappan Zee Bridge to the Thruway (Rt. 87) North to the Harriman Exit.]

from the East

Take Rt. 86 (formerly Rt. 17) West (Southern Tier Expressway). Exit at Almond, Exit #33. Follow signs along Rts. 21 and 244 into Alfred. (Approximately two hours' driving time from Binghamton.)

from the North East & East

Take NYS Thruway to Manchester, Exit #43. Take Rt. 21 South to Rt. 244. Follow signs along Rts. 21 and 244 into Alfred. (Approximately 2 hours' driving time from Manchester.)

from Rochester

Take Rt. 390 South to the second Dansville Exit, #4, to Rt. 36. Continue south on Rt. 36 through Arkport and to Rt. 86 (formerly Rt. 17) West (Southern Tier Expressway). Exit at Almond, #33. Follow signs along Rts. 21 and 244 into Alfred. (Approximately 2 hours' driving time.)

from the West

Take Rt. 86 (formerly Rt. 17) East (Southern Tier Expressway) to Belmont Exit, #30. Follow signs for Rt. 19 South into Belmont. Turn left onto Rt. 244. At stop sign turn right onto Main Street. (Approximately 2 hours' driving time from Jamestown.)

from the Wellsville Campus

Take Rt. 417 East to Elm Valley. Turn left onto County Rt. 12. Continue to stop light in Alfred and turn left onto campus. (Approximately 20 minutes driving time.)
