Salatel and Szpaicher Named #PioneerPinpoint Athletes of the Week

Sophomore women's soccer player Michayla Salatel (Geneseo) and senior volleyball player Madison Szpaicher (Ellicottville) have been named the Alfred State #PioneerPinpoint Athletes of the Week. 

Salatel scored in both the Lady Pioneers games this past week and now has registered a goal in each of the teams four games. Salatel scored a goal and had an assist in the 5-0 victory over Christendon (VA) and then scored the lone goal in a tight 2-1 loss to Pitt Bradford. On the year she now has seven goals, already two more than her freshmen season, and one assist.

Szpaicher passed out 72 assists and had a team high 35 digs as the volleyball team won three more matches to run their season opening winning streak to six. She also added 11 kills and five service aces. On the year she has 161 assists and 59 digs.
