How has your experience been being a student-athlete at Alfred State? It's been interesting. It's definitely taught me time-management and how to find a balance in life. I am more than grateful for the experience and reward of being a student-athlete, as it has given me life long friends, memories and knowledge!

What are the keys to your team's success thus far? I think our success comes from our hard work and the dedication we pour into this sport every day, but I also believe the chemistry this team holds is a key piece to our success. On and off the court our team is like a family and you can tell that shows through our play.

What are some of your personal goals this season? Continue to work hard every day, stay mentally focused and help take my team to Nationals for a third year in a row.

Throughout your career at Alfred State what game did you feel you had your best performance?  Hmm.. good question. There are a few games this season I feel I've played my best here at Alfred. I think that I can credit that to the maturity piece, and by that I mean being a smarter player and knowing what my potential is.

What do you do to get yourself into game mode before the game start? Visualize while listening to music. I have one song I have to listen to before every game and have since my freshman year.

What are your future plans after your collegiate career is completed? I would like to get a job with a Financial Planning firm in a bigger city while preparing to sit for my CFP examination.

What is the best thing about your coach? Our coach is always pushing his athletes to their highest potential. He is always reminding us to not be content with being average or accepting "what it takes to get by", but to always do our best. He wants this for us both as volleyball players and as individuals who are getting ready to start our careers.

When your career at Alfred State is over what would you want to be remembered by? I'd like to be remembered as someone who always worked hard to reach their goals both on and off the court while maintaining a positive and humble attitude through it all.

Who is your favorite pro athlete? I don't think I have a favorite, mainly because I don't follow pro sports closely enough to answer that question truthfully. I definitely look up to athletes whom express their leadership through both their skill and sportsmanship. Also those who leave it all on the court/field and play with heart.

What do you do with your free time? Free time? What is that?.. haha just kidding. I like to spend time with family and friends and just relax when I get some time away from school work and volleyball.
