Dale and Van Valen Named #PioneerPinpoint Athletes of the Week

Ethan Dale (Lockhaven, PA) and George Van Valen (Ithaca) have been named the Alfred State #PionerPinpoint athletes of the week. 

Dale was a double winner as the Pioneers battled SUNY Oswego. He won the 200 breast and set a new school record in 2:24.06 and won the 100 breast in 1:05.18. He was also 2nd in the 400 IM (4:33.42) and was part of the 3rd place 200 medley relay team (1:46.47).

Van Valen was a perfect 5-0 this past week on the wrestling mat. He pinned Cole Rock (Brockport) in 1:26, defeated Corbin Bunsold (Otterbein) 17-4, defeated Kevin Khoma (John Carroll) 7-2, pinned Noah Nuno (Lourdes) in 2:37, and pinned John Cooper (Adrian) in 1:36. Van Valen is now 7-0 on the season.
