Alfred State 7th in USCAA Director's Cup Standings

The Alfred State athletic department sits in 7th place in the USCAA Director's Cup following the fall semester. The Pioneers have scored 327.5 points thus far during the 2016-17 school year.

Alfred State had a solid fall with four teams competing at USCAA National Championships. The men's cross country team led the way with a 6th place finish, the volleyball team and the women's soccer team both finished in the top 8, while the women's cross country team ran to a 11th place finish.

Florida College leads the standings followed by SUNY ESF, SUNY Delhi, and Cleary University. Berea College and Albany College of of Pharmacy rank 5th and 6th followed by the Pioneers, Maine Fort Kent, Rochester College, and Bryant & Stratton.

Director's Cup points are awarded for number of sport offerings, attendance at the USCAA National Convention, and results from USCAA National Championship events. The winter standings will be updated following the 2017 USCAA National Basketball Championships.
