ACAA Announces Tournament Seeding

The American Collegiate Athletic Association has announced the seeding for this weekend's basketball championships. The women's tournament will be held at Alfred State while the men's tournament will be held at Pine Manor (Chestnut Hill, MA).

The Pioneer women's basketball team will be the #1 seed and host the three-team ACAA Tournament. The blue & gold have will play the winner of the #2 Pine Manor/#3 Maine Presque Isle contest in Sunday's championship game starting at 1:30 p.m. Pine Manor and Presque Isle will play their semifinal contest at Alfred State on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

The Lady Pioneers are entering the tournament with a 14-9 record.

Pine Manor will host and is the #1 seed in the men's tournament. Alfred State is the #3 seed and will take on #2 SUNY Canton on Saturday to see who will play Pine Manor in the championship on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Pioneers and the Roos will battle at 5 p.m. on Saturday evening.

The Pioneers will enter the tournament with a 9-16 record. 11 of their contests were decided by less than six points including their two previous contests with SUNY Canton.
