O'Buckley Named Garcia's Top Cut Athlete of the Week
Alfred State women's soccer player Dannielle O'Buckley (Jamaica/Ansbach) has been named the Garcia's Barbershop Top Cut Athlete of the Week. O'Buckley and the Lady Pioneers won both of their matches this week to kick off the 2017 season.
O'Buckley registered four goals and one assist this week. She scored the game-tying goal in the Pioneers opener vs. SUNY Delhi. Her goal with 8.7 seconds left in the 1st half tied it and the blue & gold went on to score three unanswered goals to earn the 4-1 victory. On Sunday, O'Buckley recorded a hat trick in the 1st half as Alfred State defeated SUNY Cobleskill 9-0. On top of the three goals in the 1st half, she was credited with an assist on a goal by Melissa Mineti (Livonia).
O'Buckley and the Pioneers are next back in action on Sunday when they travel to the University of Rochester for a 2 p.m. match.
