Gregory Sammons, Alfred State Vice President for Student Affairs, has been selected to attend the NCAA Athletic Direct Report Institute. Sammons will be joined by Staci Weber of Pine Manor at the Institute to represent the American Collegiate Athletic Association.

The purpose of the Institute, held in conjunction with the NCAA Convention in Indianapolis, is to engage Division III ADRs in best practices to oversee and manage athletics departments and to improve the relationships between ADRs and their presidents, athletics directors and conference commissioners.

"We are excited to have the ACAA represented by two ADRs in our first year," said Commissioner Dr. Kelly J. Higgins. "It really shows the value of conference membership. The skills they learn at the Institute will help them  on their campuses and ultimately enhance the student-athlete experience."

The program is funded by NCAA Division III and includes travel costs and a waiver of registration for the NCAA Convention.
