Football: 0-6

Gallaudet used a solid offensive attack and held off any Alfred State attempts to rally as they spoiled the Pioneers Homecoming with a 35-19 victory. The Bison scored in each quarter and accumulated 447 total yards.

The Bison scored quickly on their first two possessions of the game before the Pioneers answered back with two scoring drives in the 2nd quarter to cut the lead to 14-13. Kiegan Brown (Cortland-Cyber Security) rushed in from 30-yards out to cap a three-play 50-yard drive. Just over seven minutes later with 3:18 remaining in the half, Eli Frantz (Swansboro, NC-Construction Management) connected with Gavin McCumskey (Middlesex/Marcus Whitman-Welding) on a five-yard scoring play. The Bison put together a nine-play, 75-yard drive in the closing minutes of the half to head into halftime with a 21-13 lead.

Gallaudet scored on their 1st possession of the 2nd half and then added an insurance score with 3:23 remaining in the contest. Frantz connected with Willerm Greffin (Brooklyn/South Shore-Sport Management) for a 35-yard touchdown strike with 1:31 remaining but the Bison recovered the ensuing on-side kick to end the game.

Frantz finished 17 for 23 for 169 yards and two scores while Brown recorded his second straight 100-yard game finishing with 105 yards on 13 carries. Greffin led the receivers with five catches for 58 yards.

The Pioneers had a season high 336 yards (167 rushing and 169 receiving).

The men's soccer team was downed in both of their contests this week. They fell 5-0 to Nazareth on Wednesday and then lost a hard fought contest 3-1 to Mt. Aloysius.

The Pioneers scored first vs. Mt. Aloysius when Kory Zimmer (Livonia-Business) scored on a flick shot past the goalkeeper after getting a pass from Brandon Holley (Livonia-Architecture). The Mounties tied the game later in the 1st half and scored twice in the final 11 minutes to earn the victory.
