Lewis and Kemsley Named Garcia's Top Cut Athletes of the Week

Alfred State freshmen swimmer Kathryn Lewis (Sanborn/Niagara Wheatfield) and freshmen thrower Paul Kemsley (Lancaster) have been named the Garcia's Barbershop Top Cut Athletes of the Week.

Lewis won four individual events and two relays over the weekend in a pair of events for the Pioneers. Lewis won the 1,000 free in 12:05.39 and the 500 free in 5:48.37 vs. Pitt Bradford on Friday. She was also part of the 200 free relay team that won in 1:51.53. On Saturday, Lewis was a double winner at the Pioneer Invitational. She won the 200 free in 2:09.53 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:20.93. Lewis was also part of the winning 200 free relay in 1:52.79. 

Kemsley won the title in the shot put at the Houghton Invitational on Friday with a toss of 13.43 m. His toss was .4 m further than the second place finisher. Kemsley also finished 5th place in the weight throw with a throw of 14.14 m.
