Lauren Earley and Paul Kemsley named Garcia's Top Cut Athlete of Week

Earley and Kemsley Earn Garcia's Top Cut Athlete of the Week Honors

Alfred State swimmer Lauren Earley (Waterford/Shenendehowa) and thrower Paul Kemsley (Lancaster) have been named the Garcia's Top Cut Athletes of the Week.

Earley won three individual events as the Pioneers improved to 5-2 in dual matches with a convincing win over Franciscan. She won the 50 back in 31.67, the 100 back in 1:11.09, and the 100 IM in 1:10.59. She was also part of the winning 400 medley relay team that won in 4:35.69.

Kemsley continued to impress during his freshmen campaign. He won the weight throw at the RIT February Invitational on Friday with a toss of 16.01 m to improve on his school record mark. He was also 2nd in the shot put with a toss of 15.12 m. Kemsley's performances helped the Pioneers to a 7th place finish in the meet.
