Dale and Lewis Named Garcia's Top Cut Athletes of the Week
Alfred State swimmers Ethan Dale (Lock Haven, PA) and Kathryn Lewis (Sanborn/Niagara Wheatfield) have been named the Garcia's Barbershop Top Cut Athletes of the Week after solid performances at the AMCC Championships.
Dale won the only individual title for the Pioneers. He won the 400 IM with a time of 4:19.44. He was also 4th in the 100 breast (1:00.99) and 4th in the 200 breast (2:14.38). He was also part of the the 400 medley relay team that finished 3rd and 800 free relay that finished 4th.
Lewis led the way for the women's side with a 2nd place finish in the 500 free (5:28.22) and 2nd in the 1650 free (19:26.82). She was also 4th in the 200 free (2:03.26). In relay action, Lewis was part of the 400 free relay that was 2nd and part of the 800 free relay team, the 400 medley relay team, and the 200 medley relay team that all finished 3rd.
