Dailey and Hoffmann Named Athletes of the Week
Veronica Dailey (Addison) and Justus Hoffmann (Hamburg) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.
Dailey had an impressive run at the Roberts Wesleyan Harry Anderson Invitational. She led the Pioneers with a 41st place finish on the 5k course. She finished in 19:57.4 (6:26 per mile). She helped the Pioneers to a 15th place team finish in a race that featured 243 runners.
Hoffmann was a part of both of the Pioneers goals in a 2-2 tie at SUNY Poly in the team's only action this week. Hoffmann earned an assist on a goal by Albert Senyah in the 1st half and then he netted first goal of the season when he capitalized on a penalty kick in the 2nd half.
