Castoro and Coria Named Athletes of the Week
Meghan Castoro (Syosset) and Nico Coria (Honeoye Falls Lima) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.
Castoro earned 1st place finishes at both the AM and PM show for the western equestrian team as they opened up the 2018-19 season at a competition held at Alfred University. Castoro was the lone Pioneer to win in both shows and was one of five 1st place finishes for the team on the day.
Coria was key to the men's soccer teams 1-0-1 week. He made five saves in a 2-2 come from behind tie vs. St. John Fisher and then made a pair of saves in his first collegiate shutout, 2-0, over SUNY ESF. On the year he has made 62 saves in over 935 minutes of play.
