Salatel, Long, and Hoffmann Named Athletes of the Week

Michayla Salatel (Geneseo), Jalen Long (Rochester/Bishop Kearney), and Justus Hoffmann (Hamburg) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.

Salatel, a senior forward, netted both goals for the women's soccer team as they defeated Elmira 2-0 in their only action of the week. She now leads the team with 10 goals and has scored multiple goals in a pair of games.

Long, a junior wide receiver, caught nine passes for 169 yards and two scores in the Pioneers contest vs. Husson. He caught a six-yard and a seven-yard touchdown pass in the 1st half. On the year, Long has 45 catches for 778 yards and six touchdowns.

Hoffmann, a junior midfielder, recorded a hat trick in the men's soccer teams 4-1 victory over Valley Forge. He netted two goals in the 1st half and completed the hat trick in the final moments of the game. He leads the team with six scores on the season.
