Shaulis and Toliver Named Athletes of the Week
Basketball players Kelsey Shaulis (Ovid/South Seneca) and Juwan Toliver (Buffalo/McKinley) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.
Shaulis led the Pioneers in scoring this week with 24 points. She led the team with 15 at Houghton and adding 9 more in the contest vs. Hilbert. She also passed out four assists and was credited with three rebounds and three steals. On the year, she is averaging 10.7 points per game and 3.2 rebounds.
Toliver had a solid all around week for the blue & gold. He scored 29 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and passed out 11 assists. He also was credited with six steals. He led the team with 19 points vs. Houghton and had 10 more vs. Hilbert. Toliver is averaging 10.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game.
