The men's basketball team split a pair of games at the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Tournament hosted by St. John Fisher over the weekend. The Pioneers fell 82-62 to Fisher in the opener but rebounded for a 78-62 win over Keystone in the consolation game.

St. John Fisher used a big run in the 1st half and another in the 2nd as they were able to outlast Alfred State in the opening round of the tournament. Tahaij Lewis (Rochester/Greece Olympia) led the Pioneers with 18 points while Owen Spencer (Perry) was 7 for 10 from the field and finished with 16 points. Josh Reding (Rochester/Spencerport) finished with 8 while Dante Jordan (New York/Law & Public Service) and Juwan Toliver (Buffalo/McKinley) each had seven.

The Pioneers jumped out a 7-0 lead and never gave that lead up in the victory over Keystone. Jordan led four Pioneers in double figures with 18 points. He was 7 for 11 from the field and 3 for 3 from the foul line. Lewis and Toliver both finished with 13 points.
