Athletic Department Seeks Nominations for Hall of Fame
Alfred State is seeking nominations for the Athletic Department Hall of Fame. The 2019 Hall of Fame Class will be inducted on June 1, 2019 during the college's Alumni Weekend.
The Alfred State Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 1992 and currently has 80 members and has honored eight teams (List of Hall of Fame Members/Teams). The Hall of Fame committee is soliciting coaches, alumni, and former athletes to may make nominations for the Athletic Hall of Fame. To be eligible for nomination, Alfred State athletes must have graduated, or transferred, at least five years ago. Non-athlete candidates are required to be affiliated with the Athletic Department for at least five years to be eligible and have completed their service to the college.
An 11-member committee appointed by the Director of Athletics will meet and vote on the ballot. Nominees that receive a majority of the vote will become part of the thee Hall of Fame Class. A Hall of Fame Class will consist of no more than five student-athletes, two contributors, and one team.
Nominations are due by February 15th for the 2019 class.
