Fisher and Woodward Named Athletes of the Week
Brittany Fisher (Indianapolis, IN) and Dan Woodward (Honeoye) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week following solid spring break trips to Florida.
Fisher hit .444 with a 773 on base percentage as the Pioneers were 3-3 as the Pioneers competed at the Gene Cusic Classic. She scored seven runs and drew 12 walks on the week. On the mound, she was 2-2 with a 4.20 ERA in 21.2 innings of work on the mound. She allowed just two walks and struck out seven.
Woodward (Honeoye) had a big week for the Pioneers. He hit .400 (8 for 20) with a team high eight RBI in five games this week. Woodward had three multi-hit games including a 3 for 5, 5 RBI performance in a 8-2 victory over NYU. He also was 3 for 5 with 3 RBI in the 18-0 victory over Lakeland.
