Alfred State Shares ACAA President's Cup
The Alfred State athletic department has claimed a share of the 2018-19 ACAA President's Cup. Alfred Sate and SUNY Delhi tied for the overall award while Delhi won the men's award and ASC took the women's award.
Alfred State placed out of the top five in only one of the eight ACAA sports. The Pioneers finished second in men's and women's cross country, men's basketball, men's and women's soccer and softball while finishing tied for third in women's basketball and volleyball.
The ACAA President's Cup is calculated using a formula that awards points based on finishes in ACAA Championships and the final Massey Rankings, where applicable. Each institution receives a percentage of points possible to determine the final standings.
2018-19 was the final year that Alfred State was participating in the ACAA. They become a full member of the AMCC starting this fall.
