Beardsley and Wilson Named Athletes of the Week

Seniors Alyssa Beardsley (Letchworth) and Dashown Wilson (Bronx/DeWitt Clinton) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.

Beardsley was the Hi Point Rider at the AM show as the western equestrian kicked off their season on Saturday. She won open reining competition and finishing 2nd in open horsemanship in the AM show and was 2nd in open horsemanship and 3rd in open reining in the PM show. Her performance helped the team to Hi Point honors in the AM show and Reserve Hi Point honors in the PM show.

Wilson racked up over 100 yards passing and rushing this weekend as the Pioneers defeated Rochester 27-21. He rushed for 108 yards on 19 carries and was 8 for 15 with 102 yards passing for the blue & gold.
