Alfred State's new Daktronics Video Board

Alfred State to Debut New Daktronics Video Scoreboard

Installation of a state of the art Daktronics video scoreboard has been completed and the Alfred State Homecoming 2019 crowd will be the first to see the new Pioneer Stadium feature in use.

Director of Athletics Jason Doviak believes the new board will transform the student-athlete and fan experience at Pioneer Stadium. "The new Daktronics video board is a key piece of our overall master plan as we transitioned to NCAA Division III. Students and fans expect an interactive experience at today's athletic events and now that is possible. The video board also provides us with the ability to promote and recognize our athletic department sponsors on a new level. We had a goal to unveil the new video board at Homecoming and we are excited to do so this weekend."

The video board is a 20' tall x 24' wide Daktronics Live Video LVX15HD display that runs on the Show Control user interface. The board is located in the far corner of Pioneer Stadium allowing for optimal views from nearly every location inside the gates.

"As the local representatives for Daktronics Inc., the opportunity to help design and install one of the largest video displays, in the area, at Alfred State College, was both exciting and rewarding for our entire team," commented Toth's Sports sales representative Tim Beck. "The newly installed system are the same, state of the art technologies used at many NFL stadiums, across the nation. It was a joy to work alongside the entire project team at Alfred State, every step of the way from "concept drawing" to final training. As the two individuals that spearheaded this endeavor, the team of Jason Doviak, Director of Athletics and Hady ElSayed, Senior Capital Projects Manager were at the top of their game. We would like to thank each member of their team for an amazing combined effort. It has been a pleasure working alongside every person who has participated in seeing the project become a reality."

Dr. Skip Sullivan shares the excitement with the video board. "It is an awesome addition to Pioneer Stadium. I am so grateful to all those who helped to make this happen."

Alfred State takes on Anna Maria in their ECFC opener on Saturday at Noon. Pre-game activities in the parking lots around the stadium begin at 10 a.m. and a post-game food truck rodeo and concert by Nik and the Nice Guys are also scheduled.
