Winter and Smith Named Athletes of the Week

Soccer players Emily Winter (North Collins) and Anthony Smith (Colden/Springville) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.

Winter scored a pair of goals in the women's soccer 3-0 victory over Hilbert. Her goal in the 1st half was her first collegiate tally and ended up being the game winner. She added an insurance goal in the 2nd half.

Smith also scored a pair of goals as the men's soccer team defeated Hilbert 4-1. His first goal proved to be the game winner as it broke a 1-1 tie. He then added an insurance goal in the 2nd half.
