Caltagirone and Bathgate Run to All-AMCC Honors
Caitlin Caltagirone (Holland) and Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester) have run to All-AMCC honors in their first season competing at Alfred State.
Caltagirone, a sophomore transfer, has led the women's team all year long. At the AMCC Championships she averaged 6:30 per mile over the 6k course to earn a 6th place finish. She finished the race in 24:16.3.
Bathgate continued to shine during his freshman season. He finished 10th at the AMCC Championships after averaging 5:25 per mile over the 8k course. He crossed the finish line in 26:56.8.
Both the men and women finished 3rd at the AMCC Championships held at Penn State Behrend.
Caltagirone and Bathgate will lead the Pioneer pack as they travel to the NCAA Mideast Regionals this weekend in Bethlehem, PA.
