Anderson, DeWall and Perry Named Athletes of the Week

Rayanna Anderson (Wellsville), Jacob DeWall (Waterloo), and Westin Perry (Canisteo Greenwood) have been named the Alfred State Athletes of the Week.

Anderson scored 13 of her team high 16 points in the 4th quarter as the Pioneers defeated Wells in their season opener on Tuesday. She finished the day with 16 points and 10 assists to go along with six rebounds and five steals.

Jacob DeWall was 2-0 with a pair of pins as the Pioneers opened up the home slate with a pair of victories. He sealed the victory vs. Keystone with a pin of Cam Smith in 59 seconds and then ended the day with a pin of Diego Orellana (Ulster CC) in 4:13.

Perry put himself in the NCAA DIII era record book with his performance in the 100 back. He set a new mark by winning the event in 54.41. He also won the 50 back in 25.40 and the 50 free in 23.13. Perry was also part of the winning 200 medley relay team.
