Starting in 2013, the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference championship was expanded to include up to two wrestlers at each weight class from each school, totaling a maximum of 16 wrestlers per weight class. The highest finishing wrestler for a program in a weight class determines the team points.
Berths into the NCAA Division III Championships will be determined at six NCAA Div. III Regional Qualifiers on Saturday, March 1. The top-three finishers in each of the 10 weight classes earn a spot at the national championship meet. Cortland, Ithaca, Oneonta and Oswego will compete in the Northeast Regional, while Alfred State, Brockport, Lycoming and RIT compete in the Mideast Regional.
