ALFRED, N.Y.The Hilbert College men's lacrosse team evened their record at 2-2 after their second consecutive victory this afternoon.  The Hawks doubled Alfred State College's offensive effort and claimed a 12-6 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference victory on the road.

Hilbert built an 8-4 lead after 30 minutes of action and continued to outscore the Pioneers in the third session by a 3-1 margin.

Tyler Nicoloff earned five points while scoring a pair of goals along with three assists.  Matthew Simon led the Hawks with three goals and three caused turnovers.

Nathaniel Hyman (2 assists) and Austin Laine were the other two multi-goal scorers as they each tallied twice.

Justin DeLaRosa went .500 in the face-off circle (10-20) but was credited with a team-high eight ground balls while Tyler Balsavage and Hyman each scooped five ground balls themselves.

Adam Zawadzki earned his second victory in the frame making eight saves.

The Hawks held a 24-14 advantage in shots on goal and unleashed 34 shots for the day.  Hilbert went 26-30 in clears and finished with 42 ground balls.   Today's game marked the first time this season that Hilbert did not convert on extra man opportunities.
