Deaton Named All-AMCC 2nd Team
Alfred State sophomore relief pitcher Jarrod Deaton (Newburgh Free Academy) has been selected to the All-AMCC 2nd team. Deaton was a key part of the Pioneer bullpen.
Deaton appeared in a team high 17 games this spring and pitched 32.1 innings. He had a 3.62 ERA was 1-1 with a save. He walked 11 batters and struck out 26 on the season. In AMCC play, Deaton made nine appearances and made one start. He pitched 16 innings, was 1-0 with a save, and had a 2.81 ERA. In conference play he averaged 8.44 strikeouts per game.
Deaton is the first Pioneer to earn end-of-the-season AMCC baseball honors.
