Santobuono Named AMCC Pitcher of the Week

Andrew Santobuono (Franklin/Unatego) has been named the AMCC Pitcher of the Week.

Santobuono went 2-0 this past week as he earned a victory over Pitt-Greensburg to help clinch the Pioneers spot in the AMCC tournament and then pitched the Pioneers to a game one victory in their AMCC first round series vs. Mt. Aloysius. In his 14 innings of work he had a 2.57 ERA, allowed 15 hits and two walks while striking out 18.

He finishes his first year at Alfred State with a 6-4 record in 11 starts. He has a 4.21 ERA in 64.1 innings of work. He walked just 13 and struck out 60 batters.

The Pioneers wrapped up the season with a 20-21 record. The 20 wins was a new school record during the NCAA era and the team qualified for AMCC postseason play for the first time.
