Alfred State Predicted 7th in ECFC Preseason Poll
The Alfred State football team is predicted 7th in the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference preseason poll. The poll was voted on by the league's eight head coaches.
Defending champion Husson received six of the eight first place votes in the poll and sit in the top spot with 62 points. They are followed by SUNY Maritime (53), Mount Ida (43), Castleton (42), Dean (35), Gallaudet (24), Alfred State (16), and Anna Maria (13).

Alfred State will be playing in the ECFC for the first time in 2017. The team has competed vs. Husson, Castleton, and Dean in past seasons but will be competing vs. the rest of the ECFC for the first time.
The Pioneers who are in week two of preseason camp get the 2017 season underway on August 31st when they travel to battle Coast Guard. The team will play their first ever ECFC game on September 30th when they travel to SUNY Maritime.
