John Lauretti named ECFC Defensive Player of the Week

Lauretti Honored by ECFC for Second Straight Week

Alfred State defensive linemen John Lauretti (Seaford) has been named the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week.

Lauretti had 16 total tackles in his final game wearing the blue & gold as Alfred State battled Castleton. He was also part of five sacks on the day and finished with 3.5 sacks for a loss of 20 yards. He finished the day with four tackles for a loss of 22 yards.

In the last two games, Lauretti has recorded 28 tackles and 5.5 sacks. He also has had nine tackles for a loss and a forced fumble.

Thomas Wright of Maritime was named the Offensive Player of the Week while DeAndre Grange of Dean was named the Rookie of the Week.
