Lewis Named ACAA Player of the Week
Tahaij Lewis (Rochester/Greece Olympia) has been named the American Collegiate Athletic Association men's basketball player of the week for the second time this season.
Lewis, a senior forward had a monster game on a tight overtime contest vs. Nazareth. He had a career-high 42 points (15-for-25 from the the field) to go along with 21 rebounds. He also had three steals and two blocks. In two games this week, he scored 53 points (26.5 ppg) and grabbed 25 rebounds (12.5 rpg). On the season he is averaging a team high 14.9 points per game and 9.1 rebounds.
Erica Williams of Mount Mary was named the ACAA women's player of the week.
Lewis and the Pioneers have a pair of games this week. They host D'Youville on Wednesday and then head to Morrisville on Sunday.
