Taj Lewis Earns ACAA Honor for Third Time

Lewis Honored by ACAA for Third Time

Tahaij Lewis (Rochester/Greece Olympia) has been named the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) for the third time this season. Lewis helped lead the Pioneers to a 2-0 week with victories over Pitt Bradford and SUNY Delhi.

Lewis averaged 22 points, 12.5 rebounds, and two blocks this past week. He was 9 for 10 from the field and recorded a double-double with 21 points and 13 boards in the contest vs. Pitt-Bradford and then scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the one-point win over Delhi. He was 8-for-14 for the game and hit the game winning shot with 16 seconds left in the game. For the week he was 17-for-24 from the field (70.8%).

On the year, he is averaging 16.2 points per game and 10.1 rebounds. He is shooting 60.6% (143 for 236) from the field.

Jhanel Brown of Valley Forge was named the ACAA Women's Player of the Week.

Lewis and the Pioneers host Villa Maria on Wednesday and Green Mountain College on Friday.
