Jamison and Wilkerson Score in Double Figures in Rochester Loss

Paris Jamison (Brooklyn/East Side Community) and Basheem Wilkerson (Brooklyn/John Jay) scored in double figures in the Alfred State men's basketball 100-66 loss to the University of Rochester Yellow Jackets on Wednesday evening inside Orvis Gymnasium.

Alfred State shot 35.5% in field goals, 37% in three-pointers, 75% in free throws and picked up 31 rebounds.

Rochester recorded 56.3% in field goals, 55.6% in three-pointers, 71.4% in free throws and had 45 rebounds.

Jamison went six-for-eight from the free throw line, scored 11 points and had two assists. Wilkerson scored 11 points and had two steals.

Josh Reding (Spencerport) and Donte Jones (Brooklyn/ Brooklyn Collegiate) both had eight points and three rebounds and Mekhi Belcher (Syracuse/Union Endicott) had seven points. Stone Siverling (Batavia) and Tavion Williams (Bronx/FDA) both picked up five rebounds and Josh Romero (Bronx/Theodore Roosevelt) had four assists.

Rochester started the game with a 17-point run.

The Pioneers came within ten points of the lead halfway through the first half, but the Yellow Jackets went on a 15-point spree for a 43-19 edge and led 52-32 at halftime.

Rochester out-scored Alfred State 48-34 in the second half and took their largest lead of 37 points with 6:36 remaining in the game.

The Pioneers finish their season 8-17 overall.
