Bio

In his 22 years as head basketball coach at Alfred State, Jerry Jusianiec has led the Pioneer basketball program to 255 victories. The 255 victories and 22 years are the most by any coach in program history.
 
The 2020-21 was reduced to just practices and handful of exhibition games. In 2019-20 season, the Pioneers earned seven victories as they competed in the AMCC for the first year.
 
In 2017-18 season, the Pioneers won their most games since the 2008-09 season. Alfred State won 16 games (16-10) and was the #1 seed in the ACAA Tournament. Juwan Toliver was named the ACAA Player of the Year and Alexshay Pearce was named All-ACAA 1st team. Jusianiec was named the ACAA Coach of the Year.
 
The Pioneers followed up the successful 17-18 season with a 15 win season in 2018-19. The Pioneers advanced to the ACAA Tournament Finals and had a pair of players, Taj Lewis and Juwan Toliver, named 1st team All-ACAA.
 
Prior to coming to Alfred State, Jusianiec was an assistant coach at Division II LeMoyne College (Syracuse, NY) and Division III schools Washington & Lee University (Lexington, VA), and SUNY Potsdam.
 
Coach Jusianiec played collegiately at Elmira College where he was a four year starter and MVP his senior year.
 
Jusianiec also serves as the athletic department’s facility manager.  He and his wife Melissa and their sons Maxwell and Jack and their daughter Isabel live in Alfred.
