Trio of Pioneers Earn Academic All-ACAA Honors
Alfred State men's soccer players Adam Wilkins (Rochester/Greece Odyssey), Dillon Fairhead (Livonia), and Jake Vattimo (Geneseo) have been selected to the 2017 Academic All-American Collegiate Athletic Association team. The average GPA of the 12 student-athletes honored by the ACAA was a 3.65.
Wilkins, a senior midfielder, had the highest GPA of the group. He has a 3.98 GPA in financial planning. Fairhead has earned a 3.92 GPA in Mechanical Engineering and Vattimo has a 3.49 GPA in sport management.
Christian Jankuloski (Webster), Cole Lapi (Ellicottville), John Mormino (Alfred Almond) were named to the honor roll.
To be eligible for the all-academic team student-athletes must have above a 3.2 GPA. Selections were made by a vote of the ACAA sports information directors.
