Pioneers Fall in OT

Jay O'Donnell scored just 28 seconds into overtime to lift Bethany (WV) to a 3-2 over Alfred State in day two of the Fuzzy Williams Memorial Classic.

O'Donnell opened up the scoring in the contest 7:56 into the game after getting a pass from Iwan Mooney. The Bison held that lead the rest of the half as they outshot the Pioneers 6-5.

Albert Senyah (Long Island/Central Islip) got the blue & gold on the board and tied it up 4:58 into the 2nd half after getting a pass from Christian Jankuloski (Webster Shroeder). The goal was Senyah's third of the season.

Dylan Kidd gave the Bison back the lead in the 65th minute after getting a pass from Danny Booth. Just over 12 minutes later Dylan Talbot (Allegany Limestone) scored his first career goal to tie it. Neither team could find the back of the net the rest of the half and the game headed into extra time. Alfred State held a 8-6 shot advantage.

O'Donnell scored the game winning goal quickly into overtime after getting a pass from Kai Whitney.

The Pioneers continue their long road trip on Thursday when they travel to D'Youville for a 7 p.m. tilt with the Spartans.
