Ade Adesanya looks to gain the ball

Adesanya Scores vs. Mt. Aloysius

Mt. Aloysius scored three unanswered goals as they improved to 6-1-1 with a 4-1 victory over Alfred State on Sunday afternoon.

Joshua Christie scored just 2:44 into the game after getting a pass from Ludvig Hegdal to give the Mounties the early lead. Just under eight minutes later Ade Adesanya (Brooklyn/Progress) tied it when he netted his second goal of the season and second goal in the last two games. 

The Mounties took back the lead 2:25 later when Joshua Devlin scored after getting a pass from Hegdal. Mt Aloysius held a 13 to 3 shot advantage in the half.

Joshua Christie found the far low corner of the net 8:14 into the 2nd half to add to the lead and Christopher Moses added an insurance goal with just over six minutes left. The Mounties outshot the Pioneers 10 to 1 (22 to 4 in the contest).

James Eyre made two saves in the first 80:46 of the game to earn the win for Mt. Aloysius while Nico Coria (Honeoye Falls Lima) made 10 saves for the blue & gold.

 

The Pioneers continue their long road trip on Wednesday when they travel to SUNY Poly for a 6 p.m. start with the Wildcats.
