Hoffmann's Hat Trick Leads Pioneers Past Patriots

Justus Hoffmann (Hamburg) recorded a hat trick as Alfred State defeated Valley Forge 4-1 on Saturday afternoon. The victory improved the Pioneers to 2-1-1 in their last four matches.

Hoffmann got the blue & gold on the board just 1:53 into the game when he connected on a header of a corner kick by Albert Senyah (Long Island/Central Islip). In the 21st minute he fired a shot off the goalkeepers hands and into the back of the net after getting a crossing pass from Senyah.

Senyah continued his solid play in the 1st half in the 28th minute when he picked up his third assist of the contest when his corner kick connected with the head of Ku Reh (Buffalo/Riverside) to make it 3-0.

The Patriots scored 9:06 into the 2nd half on a goal by Velkin Escobar but couldn't get any closer. With just 1:14 remaining Hoffmann completed his hat trick when he followed up a shot by Reh to seal the victory.
