Seniors Shine as Pioneers Fly Past Hawks in Finale

All three Alfred State seniors scored as the Pioneers wrapped up the 2018 campaign with a 7-1 victory over Hilbert. The Pioneers were 4-3-1 in October and finish the season with a 5-10-2 overall record.

Albert Senyah (Long Island/Central Islip) started off a big night for himself with the opening goal 4:51 into the game. In the 9th minute Ku Reh (Buffalo/Riverside) scored after getting a flick pass from Maliq Burton (Sodus) after a corner kick by Senyah. Senyah scored the next two goals to give the Pioneers a 4-0 lead at the half. He scored in the 15th minute after getting a pass from Ade Adesanya (Brooklyn/Progress) and again in the 29th minute on a goal assisted by Noah Holmok (Alfred Almond).

Christian Jankuloski (Webster Schroeder) scored his first of his senior season when he was able to get a foot on a nice crossing pass from Ryan Johnson (Sodus). Reh made it 6-0 in the 55th minute after getting a pass from Senyah.

Brandon Bundschuh got the Hawks on the board with a goal in the 83rd minute before Senyah answered back with his fourth of the game after he danced around the defense after getting a pass from Jeanchristo Joseph (Queens/Martin Luther King.

The Pioneers held a 38 to 11 shot advantage in the game. Nico Coria (Honeoye Falls Lima) played a clean 1st half in net for the Pioneers while Zack Barker (Steubenville, OH) made a pair of saves in the 2nd half.

Prior to the game, Senyah (who finished with 10 points on the day), Reh, and Jankuloski were honored as they complete their four-year careers at Alfred State.
