Dale Wins Three Events in Home Opener

Ethan Dale (Lock Haven, PA) was a triple event winner and Tim Olin (Perry) won a pair of events as the Alfred State men's swimming & diving team opened up the home portion of their season. Buffalo State earned the 170-119 victory.

Dale continued his solid start to the season by winning the 100 breast (1:05.14), the 200 breast (2:27.64) and the 200 IM (2:10.35). Olin won the 100 back (57.99) and the 200 back (2:14.53) and 2as 2nd in the 50 free (23.31).

Nate Miller (Gananda) was 2nd in the 200 fly (2:26.81), 2nd in the 100 free (54.23), and 2nd in the 100 fly (59.53) while Austin Eckrich (Rochester/Churchville Chili) was 2nd in the 1650 free (19:18.42), Austin Miller (Hornell) was 2nd in 3m diving (234.85), and Anthony Kahwaty (Jefferson Township, NJ) was 2nd in the 200 breast (2:31.83).

The 200 medley relay team of Olin, Dale, Ryan McDowell (Gananda), and Miller finished 2nd in 1:45.10 and the 200 free relay team of Eckrich, Kahwaty, Aaron Priel (Arcade/Pioneer), and Nolan Dale (Lock Haven, PA) finsihed 2nd in 1:41.45.

The Pioneers head to Oswego next weekend to take on the Lakers at 1 p.m.
