Pioneers Battle Ripon in Orlando

The Alfred State men's swimming team battled Ripon (WI) College tight in a dual meet to conclude their trip to Orlando, FL. The Red Hawks took the 365-341 victory.

Ethan Dale (Lock Haven, PA) was 2nd in the 50 breast (31.13) and 3rd in the 50 fly (26.72) while Nate Miller (Ganada) was 2nd in the 50 fly (26.41). 

Tim Olin (Perry) was 3rd in the 50 free (25.11) and 3rd in the 50 back (30.37), Anthony Kahwaty (Jefferson Township, NJ) was 3rd in the 200 free (2:05.92), and Ryan McDowell (Gananda) was 3rd in the 100 IM (1:03.54).

The 200 medley team of Olin, Dale, Miller, and McDowell was 2nd in 1:50.34 while the 200 free relay team of Aaron Priel (Pioneer), Kahwaty, Alexander Gargano (Hilton), and Patrick McFadden (Midlakes) was 2nd in 1:50.88.

The Pioneer divers head to Erie CC on Friday for a 6 p.m. competition while the swimming team heads to Erie on Saturday for the ECC Invitational which is slated for a Noon start.
