Walker Honored by AMCC

Freshman Matt Walker (Kenmore West) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Swimmer of the Meet. Walker had an impressive day as the Pioneers beat both Buffalo State and Fredonia in a tri-meet.

Walker was a triple individual event winner. He won the 200 free in 1:49.52 to set a new NCAA DIII era record. He also won the 200 breast in 2:18.96 and the 200 IM in 2:05.25. He was also part of the 200 medley relay team that finished 2nd in 1:42.71.

Walker was honored along with Avery Heisey (Penn State Altoona) and Alli Butler (Penn State Behrend) with AMCC weekly awards. 

The Pioneers are back in action on November 16 when they compete in a AMCC meet at Penn State Altoona.
