Perry Wins 200 Back to Highlight Day Two

Westin Perry (Canisteo Greenwood) won the 200 backstroke competition to highlight day two of competition at the Oberlin Invitational. The men sit in 8th place with 318 points after two days.

Perry set a new NCAA DIII era record in winning the 200 back. He touched the block in 1:56.54 to claim the title. The event featured 18 competitors.

Matt Walker (Kenmore West) improved his 500 free record with a swim of 4:54.41 in the prelims and then finished 8th in the finals with a swim of 4:55.86. He was also 6th in the 200 IM (1:59.37). Ethan Dale (Lock Haven, PA) was 12th in the 200 fly (2:05.73) and 15th in the 200 IM (2:04.36). Nate Miller (Gananda) was 12th in the 100 breast (1:03.28) and 14th in the 100 free (50.69).

Austin Miller (Hornell) was 2nd in the 3m diving competition. He scored 345.50 points on the day.

The 200 free relay team of Miller, Stuart Yates (Naples), Alexander Semchenko (Fulton), and Aaron Priel (Pioneer) finished in 1:33.72 to earn 11th.

Day three action begins with preliminaries at 9 a.m. and finishes with finals at 6 p.m.
