Pioneers Win Six Events in Season Finale
The Alfred State men's swimming team won six events as they wrapped up the 2021 COVID season with a home meet vs. Penn State Altoona.
- Westin Perry (Canisteo Greenwood) won the 50 free (22.66), was 2nd in the 100 back (53.26) and 2nd in the 100 free (48.37)
- Stuart Yates (Naples) won the 100 breast (59.67), was 2nd in the 50 free (22.95), and was 3rd in the 100 free (50.98)
- Patrick Roberts (East Aurora) won the 200 fly (2:07.01), was 2nd in the 100 fly (56.47) and 3rd in the 50 free (23.62)
- Will Ariri (Riverside, CA) won the 200 back (2:19.66) and was 3rd in the 100 back (1:03.84)
- Jack Friedah (York, PA) won the 100 fly (55.51)
- Riley Hoyt (Tulsa, OK) won the 500 free (5:02.30)
Collin Vimislik was 2nd in the 500 free (5:14.58) and 3rd in the 200 free (1:53.82) and Micah Schwartz (Ithaca) was 3rd in the fly (58.20).
The non-scoring event was the third and final meet of the season for the Pioneers.
