Wadsworth poses with other Decathlon participants

Wadsworth Finishes 2nd at Cortland Classic Decathlon

Jacob Wadsworth (Dansville) finished 2nd out of 10 competitors in the decathlon at the Cortland Classic. He is now 6th all time in Alfred State history with a score of 5,297 points.

Wadsworth led after day one of the competition. He scored 861 points in the 100 m (11.00), 797 points in the long jump (6.93 m), 730 points in the 400 (51.89), and 670 points in the high jump (1.85 m). On day two he scored 665 points in the 1500 (4:42.44) and 647 points in the 110 hurdles (16.78).

Wadsworth finished just 132 points behind the event winner and was 72 points ahead of the 3rd place finisher.
