CSAC Honors

Kemsley, Wadsworth, and Paternostro Lead CSAC Honorees

Paul Kemsley (Lancaster), Jacob Wadsworth (Dansville), and head coach Steve Paternostro highlight the announcement of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) End of Year Awards. Kemsley was named the CSAC Field Athlete of the Year, Wadsworth was Named the Track Athlete of the Year, and Paternostro was named the Coach of the Year.

Kemsley won the discus (43.18 m) to earn 1st team All-CSAC honors and finished 2nd in both the hammer throw (42.55 m) and the shot put (14.28 m) to earn 2nd team All-CSAC honors. 

Wadsworth was named All-Conference in six individual events. He won the 400 hurdles in 57.70 and the long jump (6.66 m) to earn 1st team honors. He earned 2nd place in the 110 hurdles (16.38) and the high jump (1.86 m) and 3rd place in the 100 m (11.18) and the 200 m (23.23). He was also part of the 3rd place 4x100 relay team. In that race he teamed with Cameron Howard (Brockport), Collin Stauffer (LeRoy), and Derek Stein

Paternostro led the team in their first year competing in the CSAC to a 2nd pace finish at the Championship. The team scored a total of 148 points in the two-day event.

Zion Ponder was named 2nd team in the triple jump with a leap of 13.75 m. Earning honorable mention All-CSAC were Joe Kretschmar (Phoenix, AZ) in the 10,000 m (38:17.05), Austin Demberg (Minisink Valley) in the steeplechase 10:54.24), Nikolas Brown (Wellsville) in the javelin (40.69 m), and Stauffer in the triple jump (12.44 m).

Austin Miller (Hornell) was named the team's honoree for the CSAC All-Sportsmanship team.
