Wadsworth Sits in 2nd at Edinboro Multi

Jacob Wadsworth (Dansville) sits in 2nd place after the first four events of the heptathlon as a trio of Alfred State multi athletes competed at the Mike Kowal Multi event at Edinboro.

Wadworth has accumulated 2,662 points and sits only 139 points behind the leader Ryan McQuown (Slippery Rock). Wadsworth won the 60 m dash with a run of 7.12 which is 5th all time in school history. He score 840 points in the event. He scored 714 points with a leap of 1.90 m in the high jump and 661 points in the long jump with a mark of 6.34 m. Nine athletes are competing in the heptathlon.

Teammate Derek Stein (Horseheads) sits in 7th after day two with 2,016 points. He scored best in the 60 m dash with a run of 7.73 (640 points).

Sarah Rivet (Waterford/Shenendehowa) finished 11th in the pentathlon. She scored 2,159 points which is 8th all time. She scored the most in the 60 m hurdles with a run of 11.06 (527). She also scored 491 points in the high jump (1.38 m) and 467 points in the 800 (2:49.70). 

Wadsworth and Stein will complete the final three events (60 hurdles, pole vault, and 1,000) starting at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
