Perlino Breaks Record in Return

The Alfred State Men's Track and Field team competed this weekend at the Brockport Multi & Invitational. Dylan Perlino made his return for the Pioneers and broke the Alfred State record for weight throw by over two feet. Perlino's throw of 17.81 won the event by over a foot and crushed the previous ASC record. Perlino's throw was the 16 best in NCAA competition this season.

Some other standouts for the Pioneers include:

Derek Walter: Walter ran the 60m hurdle and finished in 13th place with a time of 9.49.

Nicholas Florczak: Florczak ran the 60m and finished in 7th place with a time of 7.24.

Eddie Scroxton: Ran the 800m and finished with a time of 2:03.38, good enough for 9 place.

Zach Rudewicz-Nepokroeff: Competed in the long jump and placed 6 with a distance of 6.62.

The team of Derek Walter, Nicholas Florczak, Jacob Rightmyer and Shawn Rosa finished in 4 place in the 400m medley with a time of 3:35.57

The Pioneers compete again on Friday, February 10, at RIT.
