2018 All-ACAA men's cross country teams

Pioneers Race to 2nd Place at ACAA's

The Alfred State men's cross country team raced to a 2nd place finish at the 2018 ACAA Championships held a the SUNY Delhi Golf Course. The Pioneers scored 46 points in the event.

Shawn Rutledge (Watkins Glen) led the blue & gold with a 4th place finish. He crossed the 8k course in 29:17.3 (5:51 per mile). He was the lone runner not on SUNY Delhi to finish in the top ten. Kobie Lane won the individual title with a time of 27:09.9. His time was 1:25 faster than any other runner.

Matthew Connolly (Elmira Notre Dame) was 11th (30:43.2), Austin Demberg (Westtown/Minisink Valley) was 12th (30:51.5), Jacob Drew (Corning Painted Post) was 13th (31:10.6), and Ryan Lohr (West Seneca West) was 14th (31:14.6).

Rutledge earned 1st team All-ACAA honors with his top four finish. Connolly, Demberg, Drew, and Lohr all raced to 2nd team honors.

SUNY Delhi repeated as ACAA Champions with a score of 17 followed by Alfred State's 46. Pratt was 3rd with 85 while Valley Forge did not score. 

The Pioneers will next be in action in two weeks when they compete at the NCAA DIII Mideast Regional Championships in Center Valley, PA
